Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before applying for the FinTalent Competition 2018.
1.1 In these Terms and Conditions:
(a) The Organizer means: PortfolioQuest Pte. Ltd
1.2 Each entrant (Entrant) agrees that he/she has read and understood this document and by their participation in the FinTalent Competition, each Entrant agrees to be bound by the Terms and Conditions.
2.0 Organizer
PortfolioQuest Pte. Ltd. Is the organizer of the FinTalent Competition.
3.0 Duration
3.1 The FinTalent Competiton will run from 00:01 UTC+8:00 on 9 October 2018 to 23:59 UTC+8:00 on 9th November 2018 (both dates inclusive). Submissions received after midnight on 9th November 2018 will be disqualified.
3.2 The Organizer reserves the right to vary the competition period without prior notice.
4.0 Eligibility
4.1 In order to be eligible to win prizes in the FinTalent Competition, you must work or study in Singapore. Prior to the awards ceremony, you will need to provide documentation that you are employed or study in Singapore.
4.2 The competition is an individual effort, teams are not recognised.
4.3 The following categories of persons are not eligible to enter the competition: employees (and immediate family) of Organizer, authorized deals/distributors, agents, suppliers of the prize(s) and any other company professionally connected with the FinTalent competition.
5.0 Fees
The competition is free to enter.
6.0 Signups
6.1 To join the Singapore’s Got FinTalent Competition:
1. Download the SmartUp app: App Store / Google Play Store
You may also access via the web here.
2. Start the app > click Join my community > type fintalent2018
3. Login with any of your social logins.
Please note to use the same social login whether you are accessing via the mobile or web as we will not be reconciling points.
6.2 By registering for the FinTalent Competition, Participants warrant that they have complied with these Entry Conditions:
6.2.1 consent to their name, image, likeness, photograph, video, hometown, description of their entry and biography being used by The Company on their websites, in promotional material, and in any publicity accompanying or resulting from the FinTalent Competition including but not limited to any press articles, blogs or articles on social media pages.
6.2.2 warrant that their entry is original, that the entry and resources used to create the entry are solely that of the entrant(s) submitting them and that their entry does not infringe any Intellectual Property Rights of any third party and that any current employer and/or learning institution which the entrant is employed by or enrolled with would have no claim to the entry submitted.
6.3.3 shall indemnify The Company against all claims, demands, actions, costs, expenses (including but not limited to legal costs and disbursements on a solicitor and client basis), losses and damages arising from or incurred by reason of any infringement or alleged infringement (including but not limited to the defence of such alleged infringement) of any Intellectual Property Rights in respect of the entry or otherwise in respect to their entry, creation of the entry, participation of the entry in the FinTalent Competition or use or misuse of prize money or prizes.
7.0 Data privacy:
7.1Participants agree that personal information, especially name, may be processed, shared, publicised and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Competition and any other purposes outlined in these terms and conditions.
7.2 Participant/Winner agrees to allow the Organiser to have his or her personal information for verification purposes and it shall be treated as confidential by the Organiser.
7.3 Any participant may be interviewed by the Organiser, and every participant acknowledges and agrees that his/her replies and comments may be recorded by the Organiser. Every participant further acknowledges that if they win a prize, the Organiser may take photograph(s) of him/her and his/her entry(s), and that his/her name, photograph(s), entry(s), comments and winner’s name and designation may be publicly disclosed by the Organiser, and used but not limited to any organisational, promotional and publicity material, in any form and in any media, without prior notice to the participant.
8.0 Others:
8.1 The Organiser reserves the right to change/or modify the terms and conditions of the Competition without prior notice.
8.2 The Organiser reserves the right to cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice for any reason whatsoever.
8.3 Any amendments to the terms and conditions shall be posted on: http://www.fintalent.com/singapore/ before the closing date and such posting shall be deemed sufficient notification of such amendments to all participants.
8.4 The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify at any time, any participant or entry who/which does not satisfy, is in breach of or does not comply with any of the requirements stipulated in or any of the provisions of these terms and conditions without refunding entry fees.
8.5 The Company will not be liable for server downtime, and intends to avoid excessive downtime which is defined as being in excess of 36 consecutive hours.
